I spent my first 27 years of my life living in Wisconsin, in 2005 my wife Abbie and I had the opportunity to leave Wisconsin behind and move to Colorado. It has turned out to be the best decision of our young lives. I found skiing in middle school and by high school was involved in ski racing. This lasted into my college years until an accident kept me off my skis for nearly 10 years. The move west rekindled my passion for playing with gravity and snow. When I’m not teaching at Loveland Ski Area I can be found in the backcountry. Summer months are spent off road driving. camping, with some hiking mixed in. These all offer experiences to get to place in Colorado’s backcountry that few have the privilege to experience. The key to life is what you experience. Capturing those moments in an image that speaks to me and hopefully others is my goal.
